For Complementary Medicine

to request a time. Dr. Chang and Dr. Yee usually sees
patients on weekdays from 10am to 5pm. You will need to
provide the patient's name, nature of the problem,
insurance information, as well as contact address and
phone number when you make the Appointment. The first
visit will typically take an half-hour to one hour
depending on your condition. You should bring relevant
copies of your medical records including recent blood
tests, pathology, scan, X-ray and other reports. We can
send you registration materials by mail for you to
complete before presenting for your first Appointment.

Dr. Chang or

Dr. Yee in person should you wish to learn if a
consultation may be beneficial to the patient before you
come in. We will call you at least a day before the
Appointment to confirm it.
For Traditional Chinese Medicine or Acupuncture
consultation, you would usually need to see Dr. Chang
first, except if there has already been a conventional
physician involved in your case, who is directly referring
you to acupuncture or traditional Chinese medicine.
Acupuncture is generally available on weekdays and select
weekday evenings to 6:00pm.
For
Tibetan Medicine
consultation with
Dr. Phuntsok,
you need to bring a sample of your first morning urine. A
first visit will usually take an hour. Dr. Phuntsok
usually sees patients during weekdays. Dr. Phuntsok does
not charge for consultations, but asks that you support
the Tibetan Medicine program at the
Institute of East-West Medicine
by making a contribution. Please call or

about the program.
Urgent Appointment Request:
If there is urgent need for
consultation, we will try to accommodate you.
We also provide
mail record review,
email consultations
and
phone consultations,
as well as limited
housecall appointments
for those patients who cannot conveniently travel to our
clinic in New York City. Please click on the service above

If you have made an Appointment but cannot keep it, please
cancel no later than 48 hours in advance so that the time
can be given to another patient. A new Appointment can be
scheduled for you.
